We will offer new Medicare Advantage plan options, such as Special Needs Plans in new markets, a new Institutional Special Needs Plan, and expanded Aetna Medicare Eagle® plans designed with veterans in mind.

Expanding Medicare Advantage plans to meet diverse needs
More than 3.2 million Medicare beneficiaries are currently enrolled in an Aetna Medicare Advantage (MA) plan, which often includes valuable benefits such as prescription drug coverage and dental, vision, hearing, and fitness care.
To keep plans affordable, Aetna continues to offer many plan options with $0 premiums. Aetna estimates that 84% of eligible Medicare beneficiaries in the United States will now have access to an Aetna MA plan with a monthly premium of $0 1.
By 2023, Aetna offers Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plans in 46 states plus Washington, D.C. Aetna added 141 new counties nationwide, bringing access to an Aetna plan to 1 million more Medicare beneficiaries. Medicare. In total, Aetna will offer MAPD plans in 2,014 counties by 2023, accessible to 55 million Medicare beneficiaries 2.

All plans offer prescription drugs with no out-of-pocket costs and additional benefits for members who qualify for the Low Income Subsidy. Coverage varies by plan and may include benefits for healthy food, utilities, over-the-counter items, extra transportation, companions, and fall prevention.
New for 2023, Aetna will introduce the Aetna Medicare Longevity plan, an institutional Special Needs Plan (I–SNP), in Pennsylvania. This plan is specifically designed for people who live in nursing homes. Includes prescription drug coverage and provides greater access to care at the center. Members receive additional benefits tailored to enhance their quality of life as their unique medical, social, and emotional needs are addressed.
Aetna also expanded its Aetna Medicare Eagle
MA plans to 42 states and 1,383 counties and is available to more than 6.1 million veterans aged 65 and older. These plans are designed for veterans 3, to supplement health care coverage from the Department of Veterans Affairs and ensure access to important benefits. All Aetna Medicare Eagle plans by 2023 will have a $0 monthly plan premium; $0 copay for primary care (including walk-in clinics); an allowed amount to purchase over-the-counter products and dental, vision, and hearing services; access to the SilverSneakers ® fitness program and a $0 copay for lab services.
Strong stand-alone prescription drug plans with lower copays
Aetna’s stand-alone prescription drug plans (PDPs) cover 6.1 million members. In 2023, Aetna Medicare will continue to offer the same three stand-alone, individual plans. SilverScript SmartRx (PDP) will be renamed SilverScript SmartSaver (PDP) in 2023 and will have a median monthly premium of $5.92 and $10 copays for certain insulins at preferred pharmacies. SilverScript Choice (PDP) will be available to Total Extra Help Program members for a $0 monthly plan premium in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, while SilverScript Plus (PDP) will have the strongest prescription drug coverage of our PDPs. All three plans are available in all 50 states and the District of Columbia and offer increased coverage on the Formulary beginning in 2022 4.
