Miscarriage is a type of pregnancy loss that happens in the first or second trimester of pregnancy. It is early miscarriage if it occurs before 12 weeks. - Infections – Infections like ureaplasma, rubella, chlamydia, herpes simplex, and cytomegalovirus impair foetal development. In some cases, it causes miscarriage. Further, some bacteria present in genital tracts of men and women could cause a loss to a pregnancy.
- Environmental factors – The toxins available in the atmosphere around you can make you have miscarriage or foetal damage. Your risk increases if you have regular exposure to toxins after twenty weeks of pregnancy. Many study findings suggest that alcohol consumption and use of illicit drugs like marijuana, caffeine, and tobacco can affect foetal growth. And this interruption results in miscarriage.
